5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

1 Cor 2:4-5 (NLT)

4 And my message and my preaching were very plain. I did not use wise and persuasive speeches, but the Holy Spirit was powerful among you. 5 I did this so that you might trust the power of God rather than human wisdom.

How many times have you wanted to share Jesus with someone you know, but you were too afraid to because you didn't think that you were smart enough or would have the right answers if they asked you a question? To many times to think about?

Here in today's devotional verses. Paul is speaking to the Corinthian church and is saying that he didn't come with big fancy words try to persuade them to come to Jesus. No, he made it plain and simple.
But then the good news of Jesus is plain and simple. So easy that even a child DOES understand it.

  • Matt 19:14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

  • The children came to Jesus because of his love, not because of any fancy words that He spoke.
Jesus' message was very simple and straight to the point.

  • John 11:26-27 26 "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" 27 She said to Him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world."

  • I've shared this before and I will share it again. I never graduated from high school; I've never been to collage or a seminary. I never even had schooling on creating web sites or how to create web sites. God has given me this knowledge! But still I teach the bible, and I pray it's in terms that you can understand and relate to.
But the teaching is not from myself, but it's the Holy Spirit Who guides me in the teachings.
The words you read are not my own but once again the Holy Spirit gives me the words to teach to you.

I'm nobody special; I have no supernatural gift of teaching. I'm just God's vessel and thankfully He's using me.
But He can, and will use you just as you are, just be willing to be used by God that's all it takes. HE may use you to teach or there may be something else God would have you to do. But rest assured He will use you if you will let Him. If God can use a high school drop out like me, I bet He can use you too!

And that person you have wanted to share with, go ahead and do it. You can even use Jesus' simple words. "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

Simple words, but a powerful message, and you can deliver it today.
    The question is, will you?
