5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Luke 9:12-13 (NLT)

12 Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said, "Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this deserted place."

13 But Jesus said, "You feed them."
"Impossible!" they protested. "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish. Or are you expecting us to go and buy enough food for this whole crowd?"

Has anyone ever come up to you with a need, maybe a prayer request or a healing? Maybe they needed something which you had very little of?
What was your first thought? Maybe "If my pastor was here I know he could help this person."

But the Lord didn't bring him or her to your pastor, He brought them to you! That's right YOU!
"But what can I do?" you may be thinking? Truthfully, nothing, at least not of yourself. But the Lord will use you to help out that person, that's why He brought him ro her to you to help them.

Don't you just hate it when you call a company and get the run around or you have to push 10,000 buttons on your phone to finally reach nothing but music as you're on hold for an hour.

That's the same way someone else feels when you pass him or her off onto someone else. God brought them to you to minister to them. So just do it. "Impossible" that's what the disciples said to Jesus when He wanted them to feed five thousand with only five loves of bread and two fish. But remember what Jesus says.

  • Matt 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

  • So this week experience the joy of ministering to someone else, and being used by God.
God wants to use you; will you let Him?
