Matt 21:6-9

6 So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. 8 And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:
"Hosanna to the Son of David!
'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'
Hosanna in the highest!"

I remember a time when all over town here in California, you could see flags on cars with the name Lakers in them.
I'm not much of a sports fan, and even less of a basketball fan, so I am assuming that the Lakers where in the playoffs or something like that?

Seeing these flags makes me wonder about us as Christians? Who often do we celebrate Jesus and what He has done for us? How often do we wave flags or banners showing the world Jesus' name?
And if we don't, then why not, are we afraid of what others would think?
I bet these Lakers fans don't care what others think, they are proud of their team and want others to know that they are behind them all the way.

After the playoffs are finished and if the Lakers do win, everyone will know who the real Lakers fans were, because they were the ones with the flags on their cars.

What about when our life is over, or if Jesus were to come and rapture (take back to heaven) His church today?
Would others know that you were a follower of Jesus? What would they find in your house? Books and magazines with sex in them, movies that you would be ashamed to watch with your parents? What is hidden in your drawers or closets?
What about your car, what is in your car, or what bumper sticker is on your car? What kind of tapes or CD's are in your car, or what radio station is it tuned to?
What about your work place? Will it be left neat and clean? Do you have pictures of the latest hot movie star hanging on the wall?

You get the idea. So what is your life going to represent to others when you leave this earth? Will it bring others to Jesus, or make them think that you were just like them?

Luke 9:25-26 25 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? 26 "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.

John 15:18-19 18 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

So today start telling other about Jesus and how much you love him.
The Lakers may lose, but their fans will stick by them.

Jesus has already won, now that's a team I will always be apart of. How about you?
