Matt 24:40-42 (NLT)
40 "Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left. 42 So be prepared, because you don't know what day your Lord is coming.
Jesus is talking about the end times and His return.
Have you ever thought about what you would do if you were left behind?
What if the church was raptured and you weren't taken? What would you do?
After all you would have seven years left to live if you survived all the plagues and disasters from God's judgment. These include earthquakes that would shake the whole earth, meteor showers upon the earth, not to mention the evil that would be very evident upon the earth during this time.
So what would you do?
Would you truly then repent of your sins and seek the Lord? Would you tell others about Jesus and how they to could be saved?
It's possible you could be deceived by the antichrist and the evil on the earth.
Some people want to live like hell now and think that after the rapture that then they would turn to the Lord.
Well, I'll tell you, it will be a lot harder then, because you won't have the church and other believers here. We'll be in heaven with the Lord.
If you are a Christian and Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you don't have to worry about being left behind.
But if you thought about the question and your answer was possibly that you would warn others about what was to come and how much time they really had? Did you think, "I would tell everyone about Jesus."
Those are good things to think about doing if you were left behind, But what about now? The same thing is true right now this very day. You will be in heaven with Jesus, but what about those around you, will they?
If you can think of one or more people who wouldn't be, if you were left behind were you planning on telling them then?
So what's wrong with now? Do you really want them to have to go through the seven years of God's judgment upon the earth?
We call this the seven year tribulation, because the earth will experience sevens years of God's wrath upon the earth.
I don't know anyone who I would want them to experience God's wrath.
If you can't think of any either, then why are you going to let them?
