5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Psalms 30:1-12 (NLT)

1 I will praise you, LORD, for you have rescued me.
You refused to let my enemies triumph over me.
2 O LORD my God, I cried out to you for help,
and you restored my health.
3 You brought me up from the grave, O LORD.
You kept me from falling into the pit of death.
4 Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones!
Praise his holy name.
5 His anger lasts for a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may go on all night,
but joy comes with the morning.
6 When I was prosperous I said,
"Nothing can stop me now!"
7 Your favor, O LORD, made me as secure as a mountain.
Then you turned away from me, and I was shattered.
8 I cried out to you, O LORD.
I begged the Lord for mercy, saying,
9 "What will you gain if I die,
if I sink down into the grave?
Can my dust praise you from the grave?
Can it tell the world of your faithfulness?
10 Hear me, LORD, and have mercy on me.
Help me, O LORD."
11 You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
12 that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!

God is so good. How many times has He helped you in time of trouble?
Can you count the ways on your hand?
If the sand could be counted would it even compare to our Lord's Grace and Mercy towards us everyday?
I'm sure you can think of many times that the Lord has helped you. But do you realize every time you sin that God is merciful and gracious to you with His forgiveness?

Think about that for a minute.
Imagine if you just sinned 10 times in an hour that would be 240 times in a day the Lord has forgiven you.
So in a year that would be 87,600 times God forgave you.
Now let's say you are 30 years old, that would be 2,628,000 times God has forgiven you.

So for the last 30 years God has been merciful and gracious to you two million, six hundred twenty eight thousands times.
And that's just Gods forgiveness, it's not counting how many times he has saved you from getting into deep trouble beyond what you could imagine. And what about all His provisions? Doesn't He provide more then what you need?
We could go on and on all day thinking of different ways the Lord has blessed you.

So if you are feeling down today and or when you do, remember all of this and verse 11.

"You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy"

Allow the Lord to be your joy today. Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you. At least 240 times today alone which is every 6 minutes, but then we know it's more then that.

O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
