John 7:14-16
14 Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 And the Jews marveled, saying, "How does this Man know letters, having never studied?" 16 Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.
Sometimes as a teacher of God's word, I'm asked for my credentials, or where did I go to seminary.
My answer is that I don't even have a high school diploma. No special schooling. My calling is not from man's choice, but from God's!
He is the one who has given me the gift of teaching. In fact I never asked for it, but by His grace He has blessed me with the ability to teach His word to others.
I'm not bragging and I'm not saying that going through seminary or a bible college is bad. I'm just saying that if it's God will, then what can man do to stop it.
What's my point of all this?
Simply put, I am not a well-educated person, but still God uses me.
Maybe, today you don't feel gifted enough, smart enough, or rich enough to do God's work.
Don't seek the things of this world to accomplish the work that God has for you. Just seek God and He will supply all your needs.
To do these devotionals and bible studies, all I need physically is a computer, fingers to type with (even if I can only type with two or three fingers. Maybe four on a good day).
Nothing fancy. But really the most important thing that I have is, the desire to do God's will. A willing heart is all God wants. If you have that, then let God work through you, in that special way that only He can. If it's God's will then, He will bless you with the abilities and resources to do it.
Don't let Satan lie and tell you that you are not good enough or smart enough or rich enough.
This is what God's word says to that.
1 Cor 1:26-29 (NLT) 26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world's eyes, or powerful, or wealthy when God called you. 27 Instead, God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, 29 so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
