5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Psalms 13:1-6 (NLT)

1 O LORD, how long will you forget me? Forever?
How long will you look the other way?
2 How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul,
with sorrow in my heart every day?
How long will my enemy have the upper hand?
3 Turn and answer me, O LORD my God!
Restore the light to my eyes, or I will die.
4 Don't let my enemies gloat, saying, "We have defeated him!"
Don't let them rejoice at my downfall.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love.
I will rejoice because you have rescued me.
6 I will sing to the LORD
because he has been so good to me.

How many times have you prayed verses 1-4?
Sometimes it may seem like the Lord has forgotten about you. We even speak out words like in verse 3?

"Speak to me" or "turn around and answer me" or "God, I need this and if I don't have it I'll just die".

But we don't hear anything except ourselves talking.
So does this mean God has forgotten about you?
If you look at verse 5 and you will see that the answer is no.

"I trust in your unfailing love."

Or as it says's in the NKJV "I have trusted in Your mercy".

We seem to forget that we are such sinners that we deserve nothing good in return.
But because of God's love for us, and His never-ending mercy, we are saved by grace and He does bless us here on earth, but it will be nothing compared to what we will receive in heaven.
So next time you feel like God doesn't hear you, remember He gave you the ability to even speak, and with that voice He gave you, are you questioning Him or maybe even cursing Him because He doesn't do things in your way.
Next time you feel like that, STOP, and START doing verse 6

"I will sing to the LORD because he has been so good to me."
