John 1:1-5 (NLT)

1 In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. 4 Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. 5 The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

When we think of Christmas as Christians, we think of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
But we must also remember that the birth of Jesus doesn't mean that He was created by God for the first time.
No, Jesus existed before He was born here on this earth.
Today's verse confirms that. In fact, Jesus was not created, but He was part of the creation that we read of in the beginning of Genesis; and He also created you.
And with the creation of you, He also made a way for you to spend eternity with Him in heaven, and that's by His own death on the cross.

So when Christmas comes around or you are thinking of it, don't celebrate the birth of a baby, but celebrate God's final preparation of a way to spend eternity with you in heaven. By sending His only Son Jesus here to this earth to die for your sins. And the ultimate gift of eternal life that only God can give; and He offers it to you, and your family and friends.
If you have received this gift already, then share it with others. If you haven't there is no better time then now to receive it.
It's the gift God says to "Open BEFORE Christmas".
