Matt 5:44

"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

During the Holiday season it seems that everyone is in love with everyone. That includes their enemies.
Everyone is happy and giving and forgiving.
But what about when it's over and that holiday FEELING is gone?
That's right, the world turns back into its old-self doing unto others just because it's their nature.

But what about us as Christians, shouldn't we be leading by example?
Do we wait until the holidays to give to those in need and forget about them the rest of the year?
What about forgiving your enemies and loving others? Do we just do it during the holidays and return to the world after it's all over?

Look at today's verse again:

"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

This is Jesus speaking, and notice He doesn't say, "Only do this during the time you celebrate My birth."
No, Jesus is saying to always do this, even if it doesn't feel right because those warm holiday fussies are gone.

Love is unconditional towards you enemies, or even your own family. Love them always, even after the holidays.
They may be shocked.

But then, they may see Jesus in you, and not the baby of Christmas!
