Heb 5:12-14 (NLT)

12 You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 And a person who is living on milk isn't very far along in the Christian life and doesn't know much about doing what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who have trained themselves to recognize the difference between right and wrong and then do what is right.

Sometimes we can compare our Christian walk to school, How so?
We all go though different phases in our Christian walk.

When we first except Jesus as Lord and Savior, we are like children in pre-school or kindergarten, very innocent with little or no knowledge of the bible.
Then we continue in our walk and we go through grade school, enjoying the Lord and learning the basics as we go on.
Then comes Jr. High and High School, they are what some may call the rebellious years where we sometimes defy the authority in the church and even question our walk with the Lord.
Then there's College, this is where we spend a lot of time into the meat of the word, and taking in as much as we can. Sometimes this will also bring up questions about other religions and we search the scriptures and prove them wrong.
Finally we graduate from college and move into adulthood. Here we continue to learn, but at a steadier pace, becoming less legalistic with more compassion for others and there needs.
Why, because we have already been through all the schooling and trials and can relate to what they're going through.

So today, what grade are you in? Don't worry if you haven't made it to college, or graduated yet. Because we all go through or have gone through the same things you are or will go through.
You are not alone, because everyone has gone or is going to school.
