with God

Gen 17:17 (NLT)

Then Abraham bowed down to the ground, but he laughed to himself in disbelief. "How could I become a father at the age of one hundred?" he wondered. "Besides, Sarah is ninety; how could she have a baby?"

"I don't want to hear this today Steve." You may be thinking. "My problem is just to big. I don't know if God could handle this one. I've been praying and waiting on the Lord and still no answer."

Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years for the promise of a son.
I know that may not sound encouraging right now. But just think about it; God did answer their prayers and did do what He said He would do.

If God has made you a promise, don't think because He hasn't answered you that it will not come to pass. It will, but in His timing, not ours.

Paul wrote:

  • Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

  • Or as it says in the NLT:

  • Phil 4:6 (NLT) Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

  • Maybe your prayers have not been answered yet for a certain something or someone. But are you still thankful for the blessings God has given you?

    It's so easy to look at what we don't have, but when we do, then we stop seeing what we do have.

    Fix your eyes on the blessing you have right now, and thank Him for those blessing.
    You never know; tomorrow could be the day God answers your prayers!
