Phil 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

Let's talk about anger today.
Why do we get angry at one another?
Is it because that person did something wrong to you, or at least in your eye's they did?
When or if they did, what did you do about it?
Did you start to dwell or meditate on these things?
Does that phrase sound familiar? It should because it is in today's verse.

Whenever we start thinking about the bad things people do, then we start to get angry with them.
But, when we stop dwelling on the bad and start focusing on the good we are no longer angry with them.

Maybe you have been angry with your spouse or a close friend lately.
Have you been dwelling on this anger and why you are angry?

Today, stop dwelling on the bad things and start thinking about all the good that is in that person; maybe towards you or others.

Then ask yourself one final question.
Can I justify my anger towards someone whom Christ died for?
