Num 14:8-9

8 "If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, 'a land which flows with milk and honey.' 9 "Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them."


Has there ever been something you really wanted, but you were afraid to ask God for it because you thought that He was mad at you, or you just messed up to much?

We rely so much on our works that we have forgotten that it's not because of our works that the Lord loves us. No, He just loves us!

"But I really messed up big time. How can I ask God for anything?" you may be thinking.

Let me ask you this, "How good do you have to be before God will bless you?"
We usually don't have an answer for this, but if you did, then by whose standards are you basing this upon, yours or God's?
Has anyone ever achieved God's standards other then Jesus?

When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior; before you gave a penny to the offering, before you were baptized, before you helped out anyone, He loved you and forgave you and He still does.

As we see in today's verses, God delights in you. That's right YOU!
Not because of what you have done, or how much you have given, or even how long you prayed. God just loves you with an everlasting love.

  • Romans 8:38-39 (NLT) 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. 39 Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.


    • The Lord delights in you. So go ahead and ask Him what ever you want.
    It doesn't mean you will always get what you ask for, but then He always gives us the best of what we need!
