5 Minutes a day / 5 Days a week

with God

Psalms 32:3-5 (NLT)

3 When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and miserable, and I groaned all day long.4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.
Interlude
5 Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, "I will confess my rebellion to the LORD." And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Interlude

Are you having a good day or a bad day today?
It may be just the morning, but do you already feel it's going to be a bad day.

Have you sinned today, or even yesterday? Have you asked the Lord to forgive you of this or these sins? No, maybe that's why you are having a bad day.

We all know when we do something wrong, we feel guilty.
Sometimes to the point that we think, "the Lord will never forgive me for this sin."
But that's a lie.

  • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  • It's not like God is up there in heaven ready to pounce on us as soon as we confess our sins to Him. Rather, He is ready to forgive you, and He does the moment the words are coming out of your mouth.

  • Luke 15:21-22 21 "And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' 22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

  • Read the parable of the Prodigal son again in Luke chapter 15. This is just a small portion of it. But one thing I noticed is, the son was never able to get out his total confession to his father, because the father was already forgiving him, and ready to as soon as he walked up the road to the house.

So today, take that walk to our Father's house and seek His forgiveness.
The best way to walk there is on your knees!
